| Description | NRDIBH has over 60 years of activity in horticultural research. Research and Development activity is tacking place in two locations: - Phytotronic Complex, with 4 laboratories: Genetics and plant breeding of horticultural species, Biotechnologies in horticulture, Horticultural technologies – plants protection - virology, Ecological technology and Horticultural species propagation laboratories - Oenology complex including the Wine Chemistry Laboratory and Pilot experimental bases. The main expertise is in the following fields - the only supplier of virus-free vine propagating material in the Initial category in Romania (G0); - holds the national collection of viticulture germplasm; - rich activity of amelioration of horticultural species - table grape varieties, wine grape clones, tomato varieties; - molecular biology research: in vitro regeneration biotechnologies of vine plants, ornamental, aromatic and medicinal plants, other species with restricted areas; DNA extraction; the use of genetic markers to determine the degree of similarity and / or variability; verification of identity, uniformity and genetic stability by molecular methods (RAPD, SSR); - procedures, technologies for obtaining virus-free vine plants; - innovative, precision technologies for horticultural species; - ecological technologies for horticultural species; - research and development services in recognized laboratories: virology analyses of vine plants; analyses for determining the physico-chemical parameters of grapes, must, wine and alcoholic beverages; wine stability analyses (protein, tartaric, oxidative). |
